This phase, including an engineering study and proof of concept, is scheduled for completion in October 2007. The multiphase project includes the provision of a fixed wireless broadband system to provide multiple city locations with high-speed data services for data acquisition, supervisory control, and video surveillance, as well as to offer mobile data facilities to enable workforce automation services for city staff. The entire undertaking is expected to have a value in excess of $1 million dollars.
